About the company

Powerbullet was written by Mark H Carolan and published by DDD Pty Ltd, (inc. 1992, NSW, Australia. ABN 700 50 288 983). It was set up originally as the company behind Triple D Studios (Castlereagh Street, Sydney), one of the first tapeless recording studios, based on the locally-made Fairlight MFX Digital Audio Workstation. Mark, in partnership with Steve Rance (now head of Fairlight USA) provided specialist services to the film, television and advertising industry, including post-production, music composition and sound effects. The primary focus of DDD is now software development, specialising in desktop applications, multimedia tools and middleware and mobile applications and it is now located at the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia.

Mark has been writing multimedia software since the early days of the Amiga, primarily in C++. He's also written a few articles in Dr Dobbs' Journal on related topics, such as:

Before the Internet became mainstream, Mark produced educational multimedia CDs and multimedia authoring tools, primarily using Macromedia Director and Metrowerks Codewarrior.

NOTE: I am also available for paid work or interesting collaborative projects. If you wish to hire someone to manage, design or develop a software project or product, please make contact. (Sorry, but it's a form initially to keep out automated SPAM, but I'll reply with a personal address.) While I'm based in southeast Queensland, I can travel to any part of the world for consultation, and can create commercial software in my own studio for a cost that is competitive - when quality and communication is taken into account - with traditional off-shore development businesses. I also do sound design for video/film soundtracks, sound effects and voiceovers as well as music composition and production.
